Not getting PM's

Not sure if this is where I should ask this. If not please let me know. I get emails that I have private messages but there is nothing there. When I click on my private messages I can't open them. What am I doing wrong?

There has been a rash of spammers signing up and sending their spam via private message of late. When reported, Laurel deletes the account and all the spam PMs.

That's most likely what you're dealing with. Spammer sends PM, you get the email. Somebody reports them, Laurel nukes them. You arrive to no PMs because she's already taken out the garbage.

1 unread 2 total shows but nothing is there

The deleted ones are from spammers (I think) and 1 new shows possibly also a spammer. Would it be possible to nuke them completely so that they do not show as if they are there? Thanks
