Hi all,

I'm a bit nervous about starting my own thread, but I can't find the answer to my question anywhere on the boards or the rest of the site.

My girlfriend submitted several of her stories last week, and only one is marked "approved" and published. The others are all marked "not approved." Does this mean they have not been approved yet, or that they were looked at and rejected? If it's the latter, can she submit them again? How would she know what to do to make them acceptable?

Thanks so much!

Hello and welcome, Etoile!

There could be a number of different reasons why her stories are not yet online. If the characters in the story are under 18, it will be rejected. Also, if the strories are listed as "extreme" - violent rape, beastiality - they will be posted to "Extreme Stories", a sister site to Literotica. The stories must be longer than 750 words (I think, so don't hold me to that!). Normally, if your stories do not meet Lit's criteria you will receive some sort of notification as to why.

It does take normally 3 days before a story is published to Lit, and I've heard some writers say it's taken a week. You can always email Laurel, and find out if there are any difficulties and/or problems with the stories.

Hope this helps!

Wow, thanks for the quick response! I've passed the information along to my girlfriend. Her stories might be too short, and might be considered "extreme" - so you've probably answered the question perfectly. Thanks again!

:
USUALLY, you will receive a notice as toi why your story
wasn't approved.
Stories which are neither approved nor rejected are listed
as something like "pending" on your page. They are not
kept as "not ever approved" until someone reads them.
That said, I have a story rejected without an explanation.
I asked for an explanation and got none.
