Not accepted? WHY NOT?!

I have a few stories here on Lit. I have two that I submitted that were no rauncheir than the ones I have already posted, and they didnt get accepted. They were over the word limit, didnt involve any illegal sex (kids, rape..you get my drift) Why werent they accepted? One ofd them I have been told was absolutly wonderful. I would like some idea as to why this happened....

There should be a link to a form-letter page under the "not accepted" label, but I can't be sure about that -- there definitely is one if your story is "REJECTED."

I'm not sure exactly what the difference between "not accepted" and "rejected" is. Laurel usually sends and e-mail to authors who have problems with their stories, but (from anecdotal evidence) it can take a week or more to get delivered.

See...I though they would do something like that, but I never got one. Neither one of them has been rejected..just not accepted. I would like to know why so I could revamp them and submit them.

I think Laurel is online now -- you could PM her, although that doesn't always work because she gets so many PMs and e-mails.

Hi lovechild27!

Hope you're well! If you go to your Member Profile, click "Submissions", then click "View Current Submissions", you'll be taken to a listing of your stories. Any stories that have been rejected should say next to them - "Rejected - reason". The word "reason" should be clickable. Clicking this will take you to the submission. Above the submission, if it rejected, you will see the reasons why.

If you have any trouble with this, please PM me and I will look into it asap! Thanks for submitting, and hope this helps!
