Not a nice Grandpa, is he?

There is a valid reason why American politics has become so poisonous... and it's probably not what you think.

Both sides think the other is unreasonable, crazy, vile, evil, traitors, etc. In other words, "it's THEIR fault!"

I say the real reason is the absurd growth of Government power relative to the individual. When I was a young man,
everyone had a pretty clear understanding of what Government could and couldn't do. Yep. There were limits and
they were known by most citizens.

What that meant was that "the other side" could wish for some weird things but there was no real risk because "Government can't do that." That allowed us to see people on the other side as "wrong about everything... but harmless." We knew the guardrails were in place and there was a great deal of security in that knowledge.

Just as Roosevelt transitioned America from Limited Government to Big Government, Bush and Obama transitioned it from Big Government to "Unlimited Government." Unlimited Government does what it pleases. The Constitution is no longer in effect. It is used, when convenient, to bludgeon political opponents, but since neither side will adhere to it, those moments are only theater for the rubes.

No, when Americans decided to accept the premise that a document written to be read and understood by 19th century farmers and merchants could only be "interpreted" by scholars and "Justices" the Constitution was finished. Today the Constitution is what any 5 Justices say it is, at any moment, and subject to constant revision by their rulings.

And what that means is that your "rights"... all of them... are on the table in every election and every time a new Justice is chosen. So the crazy extremes of the other side are in reach on a regular basis. This has led to fear. Fear has led to hatred. This is why you behave the way you do.

Can it be fixed short of a total collapse of the existing system? I doubt it.
How long can it stumble along before collapse? No idea.

Good luck.
“Both sides” narratives are always deployed in defense of right-wing misbehavior.

When one side is unreasonable there is no middle ground.

There is a right track, a wrong track, and the space between the tracks.

Or, to put it another way; there's the Conservative Right, your beliefs and ideologies, and the field of political discussion.

Biden’s disowned granddaughter Navy will probably never get paid big bucks from foreign adversaries like his other family members.

She had 2 strikes against her before she was born. Neither strike was softened by what her relatives have done.

So BabyBoobs and Harpy are now advocating for Biden family members to get paid by foreign countries???

🤣

Bottom line is: The RWCJ “members” give zero fucks about “little navy”.

That innocent child is just a political football they’re kicking around.

JFC

SAD!!!

No, definitely not advocating or condoning the Biden family payments. Noting how one family member is not like the others.

I wouldn’t be surprised to find out that BabyBoobs has an actual football with “little navy” written on it.

Keep “kickin’ it” BabyBoobs.

JFC

SAD!!!

Sadly, you’ll definitely not find a football, Christmas stocking, or anything else with granddaughter Navy’s name on it at any of the Biden family residences.

There’s definitely a football with little navy’s name on it at BabyBoobs’ trailer home.

JFC

SAD!!!

NYT’s Dowd Rebukes ‘Callous’ Biden: ‘It’s 7 Grandchildren, Mr. President’

View Source | July 8, 2023 4:21 pm

  • Liberal New York Times opinion columnist Maureen Dowd shamed President Joe Biden in a piece, Saturday, for refusing to acknowledge his seventh grandchild, Hunter Biden’s daughter he had out of wedlock.
  • The piece, headlined “It’s Seven Grandkids, Mr. President,” berated Biden for his continual omission of the existence of this seventh grandchild named Navy Joan Roberts, a child the younger Biden had with an ex-stripper named Lunden Roberts.
  • Dowd’s scathing column claimed that Biden’s callous treatment of this grandchild “undercuts” the “empathy” that “has been his stock in trade” while in political office

Democrats, Independents, and Republicans disagree strongly on many issues these days. The divisiveness in America is undeniable. But a family rejecting their own child? Most of us, left right and center agree that’s just sick.
