So there will be a new election, but why isn't anyone going to jail?

At a North Carolina hearing, investigators have laid out in detail an “unlawful,” “coordinated,” and well-funded plot to tamper with absentee ballots in a US House election that remains uncalled more than three months after Election Day — finally bringing clarity to one of the most bizarre election scandals in recent memory.

State investigators established on Monday their theory of the case — that a Republican-hired local operative, Leslie McCrae Dowless, directed a coordinated scheme to unlawfully collect, falsely witness, and otherwise tamper with absentee ballots — and workers who say they had assisted him in the scheme delivered damning testimony.

Probably because there's no real hard evidence of criminality. The "crime" in this case was "ballot harvesting" which is legal under NC law.

What happened was that the ongoing vote fraud by both parties was exposed and the Election Commission has to do something to make itself look good. So they're calling for a new election.

The people will vote again, the votes will be counted, and contested, and one of the candidates will win while the other refuses to accept the results no matter which one wins or loses.

IOW, same shit, different day.

IF the EC wants to actually do something; they should decertify the election, hold the seat open until the next general election and then disallow ALL of the prior candidates from running again.

They won't because this results in the NC citizens not having representation in Congress which violates the US Constitution.

No one is going jail, yet.

See?

In North Carolina, election officials are investigating whether Republican political operatives in parts of the 9th Congressional District harvested ballots from minority voters and didn't deliver them to the election offices. In some cases they are accused of harvesting ballots that were not sealed and only partially filled out. Ballot harvesting is illegal under state law, which allows only a family member or legal guardian to drop off absentee ballots for a voter.

Sworn testimony from a woman who said she was paid to alter ballots but that's not "evidence' in Timmeh Court.

Seems to me that you never learn from the past and continue to make the same mistakes again and again and again in your rush to prejudge things.

Do you really believe that if there was a provable crime here, someone wouldn't have been arrested after nearly 4 months of investigation? This isn't to say that someone might not be charged eventually, but at this point no one has. That sort of indicates that no "crime" has been committed despite the testimony and evidence so far.

I do not have the time to watch you flap in the wind today. Cows linger already took care of one. How about you just answer one question? What ongoing voter fraud did anyone point to against the Dem in the race?

Lol. That slip won't earn you any points from the Gestypo squad. :D

Voter fraud in NC has been rampant for decades. That you don't acknowledge that means either you're ill informed or you intentionally deceive.

Mr. Google can only help with the first.

Timmeh, I realize that most cases you deal with are dealt with relatively quickly (traffic court). This is a tad moar complex and subsequently is taking longer.

Comparing yours to pictures on your monitor doesn't help when you resize the pictures smaller than real life. What's funny is that you still lose the contest of whose is bigger even with that cheat.

So that’s a no. Okay. ;)

I know you didn't seriously expect him to admit he was wrong and just making shit up.

And while he clearly sucks as a lawyer, he is a good little partisan shill. So he has that going for him.

I see you skipped over, once again where you were shown to be wrong.

Of course not, but it is mildly amusing to watch him dance. I’m starting to think there is no possible way he can be a lawyer. He clear lacks basic knowledge.

Tim's never been exactly the sharpest knife in the drawer.

And he claims to be a judge. I don’t see it.

Says the guy who doesn't know yeast requires sugar to make bread dough rise.

The amount of fail you exhibit on a daily basis is incredible.

But additional sugar isn't necessary to activate yeast - flour can do that on its own.

We can go with that if you want...

I'm a stupid fuck.

Admitting you have a problem is the first step.
