I happened across this quite by accident, curious as to what the title might imply…
All of a sudden I was back in the 70’s, when feminism was center stage and debate was raucous and I couldn’t answer the telephone calls to my radio program quick enough.
From the few notes I took, Norman Mailer taking on four feminists, including the then gorgeous Australian, Germaine Greer, who was quick, witty and provocative; Betty Freidan, whom you may recall as the author of “The Feminine Mystique”, Susan Sontag and others, a synopsis can be found here: http://www.thedocumentaryblog.com/i...pennebakerhegedus-retrospective-this-weekend/
From the outrageous language, period styles in dress and three Lesbians wrapped together on the stage floor...making out and kissing... reminds me of an old song, "Those were the days, my friend..."
It seems so long ago, yet...the debates here on the same subjects as then, makes a curious comparison, at least for me.
