There is no point to this thread. I need a laugh today. This sufficed.
A 'Hawaii collector's edition' Spam can with a picture of a hula doll on both sides of the can and three pieces of 'spam misubi' is shown as part of a 6-foot high display at a grocery store in Kailua, Hawaii, Thursday, March 3, 2004. Spam, made by Austin, Minn.-based Hormel Foods Corp., has been Hawaii's undisputed king of canned luncheon meat since it first introduced to the islands during World War II. Now a rival brand Tulip from Denmark is trying to unseat Spam. (AP Photo/Lucy Pemoni)

I did it for Min. I don't know that I've ever even had SPAM. Did you click on the SPAMs in the Python sketch? Way cool.

I LOVE Monty Python!

Thank you, 'dita -

And now running through my mind (set to music, of course) -

Spam, spam, spam, spam,
Spam, spam, spam, spam

Lovely spam, wonderful spam!

Almost as good as the lumberjack song!

If anyone can appreciate it, Min can!

I like the accent on "That's not got enough spam in it!"

Stop that! You two are embarrassing me, and it takes a bit to do that.

After WWII, SPAM kept the citizens of the UK alive.

We fried it, baked it, mixed it with everything. For many of us SPAM was the only meat we saw.

Local Fish and Chip Shops still offer deep fried SPAM in batter and sell it.

Did SPAM save the world for democracy?

Both Spam and canned corned beef are considered to be special in the Philippines. From time to time we send large boxes of stuff to two of her daughters and their families and we always include American candy, especially chocolate, Spam and corned beef. We eat all these things too, of course. My idea of "corned beef" is a chunk of beef simmered with veetables, especially today, but my wife's idea of "corned beef" is from a can and fried with potatoes and rice.

I'm just having my first cup of tea, Pierce. I first read you as saying, "The US Military induced Spam". You make me laugh even unintentionally.

Perdita ;)
