I heard about the 150 to 180 new stories a day and I was amazed that there are so many submissions. I don't really know what goes on behind the scenes at Lit, but my guess that if Laurel approves a story, she is then too busy to take the go back to it and suppress it. She may never look at it again.

You might try the indirect approach and ask her if she ever looks at stories again that have been posted already. She may wonder what your pretext for asking is.

The only non-consent/reluctance stories I have written are role-plays; completely planned and faked by the participants - comedies in effect. The guy will tie up and gag the girl, then "take" her. But she wanted it and will have an orgasm which she usually can't hide.

My latest was published in EC tonight. Number 5 in an 8 story batch. That means in the hub mine is #3 in the list. A prominent placement. Because of this thread, I will track it and report in what happens.

It will be interesting to see.

My story has been up in EC for nearly 24 hours. I have 9.4k views, significantly less than my I/T story 24 hours in, and about the same rate as my NC stories. What is completely different is the amount of votes. A much faster rate.

This started when Lit had the site problems and everyone said there was an influx of new members from another site two stories ago. The vote v. views rate has dramatically increased. Also, for reasons I do not understand, the new stories aren't posted yet, but my story has fallen from 3rd place at the top of the New Story list to about halfway down. I don't think it is the rating since it has a 4.5 and an "H" and there are stories now above me with lower ratings or even no rating yet. I had 2 stories above me. I now have 27.

I don't think rating has anything to do with placement on the New list. The list doesn't drop all at once. Stories get added to it over a period of time.
