i'm going on 21 soon, and all day i been thinking about having kids and how it would be cool one day, but for now i got five nieces across town so i will spoil them and treat them as my own until my time comes, i keep picturing myself teaching my kid how to do eveything from playing the guitar whose the best wrestler and baking cookies, i even imagined it taking up tae kwon do like devilboy. it think it's the subliminal messages in lifetime movies. could be hormones.

They have a special smell. They're soft. They're a wonderful weight in your arms when you hold them.

I don't want one, but I like to hold other people's babies.

I'm with Laurel....I don't want one, but holding my neice or nephew.....Or someone else's baby is just wonderful.....It's always nice to return them though........:p

Why is the question only posed to non-mothers, Chef?

Curiously,

Ruby

because they havent had the full time experience of permanent motherhood.

Make you laugh or smile. Gotta work on that reading comprehention hun. ;)

I've always loved and had a fascination for children. I don't particularly find babies fascinating- I find them quite boring, actually. However, once they start actually doing things, I am enraptured. I love watching the way my nieces, nepehws and cousins have grown and developed skills over time.

I guess that's why I'm a teacher. The way kids think and what they do fascinates me.

It's biological.

Other than that I don't know. My biological clock ticks so slowly I can barely hear it. Which is fine - baby's are always spewing something from one end or the other. And I can't handle the crying.

Toddlers and pre-schoolers on the other hand are cute and fun to hang out with. It is really fun to see them learn new stuff and hear what they have to say about the world.

Til they start crying. Then they need a nap or another home.
