Non-erotic story featuring teens okay?

I have a non-erotic story I want to post, based on some childhood misadventures so all characters are in their early teens. Wasn't sure if that was okay to submit so I sent a message to the webmaster weeks ago but have yet to get a reply. Anybody know if such a story is acceptable?

If you don't get a more definitive answer soon, send a private message (pm) to Laurel and ask. She really, truly does respond to folks. I'm not sure what you mean by "sent a message to the webmaster." Apparently, they don't respond to email because of the huge spam traffic.

If there is no sex in the story, it would be rather difficult to reject it for underage sex.

So long as there's no sex with them involved, you can have characters of any age in a story.

Keep in mind that "sex" is broadly defined when dealing with any character under 18. The slightest sexual reference can be enough to trigger a rejection.

The editors here are notorious about not answering e-mails (they're pretty swamped just with clearing the stories in).

I suggest you go ahead and submit it normally (maybe with a note in the "notes" box that it contains no underage sex) and just see if it clears into the story file. They'll let you know if it doesn't--taking no more time or effort than if you had asked beforehand.

(Not all that sure why you want such a nonerotic story to run on an erotica Web site at all, though.)
