Sweetnpetite, you and CrimsonMaiden must have missed all the excitement a few months ago when Manu first mentioned these new forums. We of the Author's Hangout who were, at the time, alert, sober, semi-sober, and/or none-of-the-above, immediately greeted the announcement with hositility since it excluded the ice queen of Scandanavian languages, Swedish.

As you can tell by checking the forums, our petitions, protests, carping, and generic grumbling produced its usual impressive results. At least we tried.

They may have been mentioned a few months ago, but they weren't launced until Jan 10, which means I was in the ball park with a week or two.

The only one I've heard like that is, "May wild asses defile the grave of your maternal grandmother." Unfortunately, I have no attribution except some drunken college friends wandering through the French Quarter.

In France those words have NOTHING to do with the church. The approximate US equivalent of 'con' is asshole.

We asked. All you have is 'Other languages'.

If you pollute that forum with masses of threads in Swedish you might get a forum to yourself.

You might have to allow the odd Finn or Norwegian though.
