non-BDSM help wanted

do any of you americans have access to electronic journals?

I'm after an article in Mental Retardation and my uni isn't subscribed to it.

It's this one....

thanks!

and yes... I'm posting on multiple fora, sorry!

You check JSTOR? If not, I'll look, send you the PDF if I find it.

Mental Disabilities in Western Civilization From Ancient Rome to the Prerogativa Regis
Issn: 0047-6765 Journal: Mental Retardation Volume: 44 Issue: 1 Pages: 28-40
Authors: Berkson, Gershon

?

My department isn't subscribed to AAIDD, evidently. Dammit!

Is that the only source for the article?

yeah. I'm gonna have to beg for a copy from the british library I think. we are subscribed to loads of US journals, but not this one. I looked at taking out individual subscription, but it's so bloody expensive.

I found it on ERIC, but I don't have access to that, however...how's your French? I think I can access the one from Refdoc.

Can you access it through a public library other than the University? When I used to need JSTOR/etc articles for rare book research, I could sometimes find access through the public library, when I wasn't organized enough to get to the University during their business hours.

WINNER!!

*throws a fist in the air*

And given that I've never done a journal search through *this* uni's system (I did in my old one a few times) not a bad effort.

PM your email Kybele, and I'll send it over :)

I found a site where you can buy it.

Don't know how bad you need/want it.

heh, you can always buy them, but I get through so many me and the kids would starve if I paid each time I needed one.

our library is a bit... antiquated.

Nothing through University of Phoenix, either. Sorry.
