WHOOO HOOO!!

found it in the store yesterday. I signed up for this list that was supposed to email me when it came out, but, I didn't get an email! I'm so excited though!

Earl, did you buy it? When was it available in the UK? Does anyone know when season 3 will be available?

Excellent! My taped-off-the-PBS-telethon copies are starting to wear out ;)

Who?

I suppose it would be superfluous at this point to ask who the hell is the Red Dwarf, so I won't.

Ps. No, really. I don't think I need to know.

ah, but I can't help but answer.

I put it here because of The Earl's tendency to use Red Dwarf in his sig lines and av's - it's a BBC show.

I haven't got a DVD player. I just use my overwatched tapes from BBC2.

If you check BBC america's site they list up and coming stuff for US distribution. I think it came out in the UK late last fall and came out in the US (first 2 seasons) in February if I am remebering right. I can't remeber how long I had them, but the dude at suncoast looked at me weird when I was bouncing around the store happy they were in my hands

Of course regualr BBC would have the UK release info, and if I remebre right it was really close in the release dates between US and UK on this one, otherwise I woulda broke down and bought the UK ones (ahh the wonders of the 'broken' DVD player where the region coding doesn't work :) )

The first 2 seasons came out in February, and I think the next 2 seasons come out this February. I can't believe how good the picture quality is compared to my 8-year-old and much-rewond tapes.

And there's some pretty good extras as well. The full version of "Tongue Tied" alone is worth the extra disc.

I got the full version of tongue tied on limewire a year or so ago. it made me super happy.

Alex! Jumping up and down, I totally understand. I had the biggest grin and I was all excited and...<ashamed> I bought two copies.

I don't understand how you can not have a DVD player. My bf and I've got three between us...well, practically four...we've got two drives in the comp that'll play 'em, a ps2, and a shitty old dvd player we bought our first christmas together.
