Yeah, I know, my film reviews don't get good vibes...mainly because a neo con surely can't appreciate....

'Dirty Dancing', just because I lust for Jennifer Grey, oh well, so what...

But for 'Hey, Hey, Baby..." my 5 year old grand-daughter dances on a porch railing, (with my hand safely holding hers) as she emulates the dance on the log.

And the Peaches & Herb thing...well...you either know it or you don't.

And the final scenes...."The Time of My Life...." brings tears every time....

Shoot me.

Who asked you anyway?

Amicus...

Umm... this must be the other amicus.

Our amicus is always putting Baby in the corner. Every chance he gets.

This guy's... gasp... senstive.

Not me. I can't even derive its title from the post.
Dirty Dancing. Filmed in Lake Lure, NC. Patrick Swayze sang the "She's Like the Wind" song from it. I've never gotten over that. ;)

Wow. You'd never know it. Thanks for using sentences, yui.

Cantdog, when he has nothing intelligent to say, criticizes, style...what else is new?

Nothing here, pal. It's one of your threads. Incoherence is not style, it's mush. I hadn't an idea in the world what you were referring to.

IN defence of amicus... I understood every word.

sorry, cant. I still love you more.

From. "Short Circuit", "I have a tremendous woody, for Yui."

But. Cantdog won't understand that either.

Such is life...

My sister adores dirty dancing, I'll happily watch it, but it's not a favourite.

Patrick Swayze doesn't float my boat *L*

It does have a really cool soundtrack though :)

I can't stand Patrick Swayze either...thought he was a jerk...but the film...a classic, I think...

"Hugs..." I have three English Ladies, a Scot and an Irish lass I offer hugs to, from time to time...only some online....

Probably because I totally get what you are saying...
I think its totally adorable that you would hold the hand of your grandbaby and dance like that.
My favorite part in that movie was when they were dancing on the log. Don't know why but there it is.
enjoy Amicus...enjoy.

Ahh, in my single days...

"Why don't we hang out at my place tonight?" I'd ask.

"Okay. But we have only been out once. Don't expect anything to happen." she answer.

She'd come by. We'd eat take out. Pop the Dirty Dancing video in. 'I thought I had some wine? oh well, do you drink Champaigne?"

We'd usually go out for brunch the next morning after we woke up. A couple hours after we woke up.

You're not the only woman to like that movie Yui.

I don't know what prompted this thread. I was just discussing this movie on another website in the chat room *and how I made use of it*.

Anyway, probably my favorite movie.

I actually watched it twice through today.

I once helped recite the entire movie over lunch one day.... yep this many years later and I still know it.

PS Very nice ot hold her for the log thing, I'll spare everyone the sight of the scar where I got 15 stitches on my stomach from doing that ;)

I can't think of a single girl withing 5 years of my age that didn't know EVERYthing in the originl post :)
