what truth?

a haircut is dangerous on one and a seist comment on another?

Im waiting for the "context"

I dont think you can answer

There's not only no contradiction, both the headlines seems to reinforce the exact same message.

It's fucking waste of time and energy to try to explain obvious things to someone hell bent on not wanting to listen at all.

Further, I haven't in fact read the articles, any other by the mentioned author, or even as much as seen the mention haircuts in a memorable way. So yes, my interpretation is limited to information presented by you in form of the little blurbs accompanying the headlines.

In the first case, she apparently thinks Ivanka changed her hairstyle to be taken more seriously. What exactly the author's suggestion to be afraid is about I acutely lack information, but a working guess (working with the source, theme and attitude) could be that it may possibly had something to do with probable author's dislike of Trump clan's antics, and/or the political message she reads into the said haircut, but that's just a guess (and I'm not that interested to look it up just to find out how accurate my guess may be).

The second article appears to be about the exact same overarching topic, that female hairstyles have political consequences -- even if they shouldn't, and in this case she criticizes the negative reaction over a haircut of a politician she probably supports.

Her outcry about how females are forced to adjust seemingly inconsequential things like their hairstyles just in vain hope to be taken seriously and to even try to play, is a fact of life I unfortunately can't deny, and position I can probably sympathize.
