Francis Brennan @TrumpWarRoom @TeamTrump

"...one of the biggest stories in the country has focused on President Donald J.Trump’s
demeaning of veterans. With multiple confirmations, CNN, Fox News, and NBC News,
along with the originator of the story, the Atlantic, confirmed that Trump had made
just those references during a trip to Paris, France during 2018.

The Trump campaign has denied this, of course, but the heart of this story is:
how does the campaign prove that it would never endorse such a thing?
Could the campaign show a moral center that recognizes that this is not
a campaign problem, it is a character flaw that cannot be resolved with a
sound byte? No. In fact, while denying the problem entirely, the Trump
campaign stooped to incredible lows today, and it should sicken most
Americans.

Director of Strategic Campaign Response, Francis Brennan, who helps manage
the Trump War Room campaign, took to social media this morning to attack
Vice President Biden this way:

(...)

The Trump campaign shows that they have no moral center, none at all.
While they denounce the fact Trump is accused of mocking veterans,
they take time to get on Twitter and attack a father of a veteran for
visiting the grave of his son.

Beau Biden, oldest son of Vice President Biden, dies of brain cancer

In May 2010, Beau Biden suffered a mild stroke. In August 2013, he was admitted
to the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston and diagnosed
with brain cancer. A lesion was removed at that time; Biden had radiation and
chemotherapy treatments, and the cancer was in remission.

On May 20 of this year, he was admitted to Walter Reed when doctors found
his brain cancer had returned; he died there 10 days later.

Biden had joined the military in 2003 as a member of the Delaware Army National
Guard and was a major in the Army's Judge Advocate General Corps. His unit was
activated to deploy to Iraq Oct. 3, 2008, and he spent a year on active duty there.
He was an Iraq War veteran and was awarded the Bronze Star.

bodysong comment-

Joe Biden has not disgraced himself, recently.

Why did the Right Wing press hound him ?

He is not like Trump, and does not use the church to stage a political campaign rally speech.
Biden been low key for a presidential candidate. It is normal, these days, to be cautious.
considerate, and conscious of coronavirus safety measures. Cameras tracked him, during
his visit to the Catholic church. At a distance, it is not intrusive. Biden is seldom seen.
Trump has never stopped campaigning, He sat down in the Oval office chair, and attempted
to use an American eagle to produce a campaign commercial, but the eagle tried to bite him.
Trump only needs privacy for his dirty deals, and he buys that by renting spaces on private
property. Or, his ultra-wealthy partners in grift play host to his secretive gatherings. Florida
police stored some gigantic vans that are used to block journalists and reporters from taking
film footage or pics of Trump on his private property, playing golf. But, Joe Biden is not
allowed to seek healing, after Trump rips through Joe Biden's emotional scars about his son.
His son, and all American soldier sons, disrespected and degraded by Trump this week.

Who is Francis Brennan ? He is one of Trump's tech bros. He quit his day job chasing
Democrats, and joined another part of Trump's team, that is chasing Democrats, last year.

Now he has a job title. Who is paying him ?

(Mother Jones knows what Francis Brennan has been doing.)

Francis Brennan hit the Big Time! He made a headline.

This sleaze, Trump campaign's @FrancisBrennan gets video of @JoeBiden visiting his
veteran son's grave & ridicules Joe for not running to speak to someone – probably Brennan.
Then Brennan sneers. So Francis, next ya gonna call his vet son a loser & a sucker like your
boss does?

“We’re the eyes and ears,” said Francis Brennan, 25, war room director at the conservative
political action committee America Rising.

“We try to just pump out as many facts as we can. Everything we do is fact-based.
"It’s not scrutinized or opinion-based. It’s all facts. We have to prove what we are saying."
"We can’t just say things.”

In the war room at America Rising, where walls are decorated with posters of Republican
presidents such as Theodore Roosevelt and Ronald Reagan, staffers work in shifts between
6 a.m. and 11 p.m. on the seemingly mundane tasks of examining public records, statements
and voting records.

They conduct online searches of candidates’ names, monitor news and comedy shows
such as “The Daily Show With Jon Stewart” and “Late Show With David Letterman,”
watch congressional hearings and listen to State Department and White House briefings.

Third Trump visit to North Carolina in three weeks-

New Trump standard rally, Air Force One and Trump's custom Cadillac in the background,
at the airport- this time Smith Reynolds Airport tarmac hosted an unmasked crowd.

He traveled to the Winston-Salem area just after having spoken in Jupiter, Fla.

Sep. 09, 2020

For the first time in years, political experts say North Carolina’s 8th Congressional District
is not a safe Republican seat.

Last year, after throwing out gerrymandered district maps that favored Republicans,
three North Carolina judges forced the Republican-controlled state legislature to
draw more competitive maps.

Rep. Richard Hudson, the Republican incumbent, may boast more money in the bank,
but Democrat Pat Timmons-Goodson outraised him 3-1

Hudson first worked as communications director for the North Carolina GOP.
For the next 12 years he worked as a staffer for four former GOP House members,
including U.S. Rep. Robin Hayes (R–N.C.). His wife, Renee Hudson, served as
chief of staff to President Donald Trump’s counselor Kellyanne Conway.

Postmaster General DeJoy gets unwanted attention-

The Post reports that DeJoy pressured employees at his logistics firm to make large
contributions to Republican candidates for over a decade and then reimbursed them
with company bonuses—a ploy that would violate both federal and state laws
prohibiting “straw donations” designed to get around campaign finance limits.
DeJoy pressed for these donations in a bid to win influence as a political power
broker, a strategy that culminated in his heavily criticized appointment as head
of the United States Postal Service earlier this year.

But before Trump boosted him onto the national political scene, according to the
Post, DeJoy directed his efforts chiefly toward politicians in North Carolina, the
home state of New Breed Logistics, which he ran for more than 30 years until it
was bought out in 2014. Tillis, who faces a difficult reelection this fall, received
almost $300,000 from New Breed employees when he first ran for the Senate in
2014,a race in which he defeated incumbent Democrat Kay Hagan by just a
48.8-47.3 margin.

Sen. Thom Tillis was a top beneficiary of a straw donor scheme orchestrated by
Donald Trump’s postmaster general, Louis DeJoy, according to a lengthy and
detailed article published over the holiday weekend by The Washington Post.

Tillis’ November opponent, Democrat Cal Cunningham, has called on the senator
to return the donations. House Democrats, meanwhile, say they are investigating
DeJoy, and North Carolina Attorney General Josh Stein said that allegations like
those made in the Post‘s report would “merit investigation,” though he declined
to comment further.

North Carolina may soon have many properties and homes foreclosed on,
because the CDC eviction delay, does not include them. Sen Mitch McConnell's
refusal to send coronavirus rescue cash to people that need it, puts many in
danger of becoming homeless. There is a nasty catch to CDC eviction moratorium-
therent stil lhas to be paid at the end of the year- all back rent and current rent due
on January 1, 2021 December 31,2020 the moratorium ends.

House Intelligence Committee gets an eyeful-

Whistleblower says top Trump appointees tried to censor reports on Russian influence

A Trump administration official accused Homeland Security leaders of intervening
the reports made "the president look bad."

September 9, 2020

The report, filed by DHS official Brian Murphy, alleges that acting Secretary Chad Wolf,
(Creepy Chad!) his predecessor Kirstjen Nielsen and other senior DHS brass engaged in
“a repeated pattern of abuse of authority, attempted censorship of intelligence analysis
and improper administration of an intelligence program related to Russian efforts
to influence and undermine United States interests.”

That pattern, Murphy alleged, stretched from March 2018 until last month.

He claims he was retaliated against by Wolf, who “demoted” him to the role of
assistant to the deputy under secretary for the DHS Management Division on
Aug. 1.

Murphy’s complaint goes beyond issues related to Russia, however.

Among the concerns raised in the complaint:
Cuccinelli ordered Murphy to downplay intelligence about white supremacy
to make the threat appear “less severe” and play up evidence of “left-wing”
violence. A required Homeland Threat Assessment that included sections on
white supremacy and Russian influence in the United States was also blocked,
Murphy alleged, because of how it might reflect on Trump.

Murphy also alleges that DHS leaders purposefully distorted information
about the terror threat on the southern border to fit the president’s narrative.

Trump Administration Has Yet To Pay USPS For COVID-19 Postcard Issued In March

The White House received flak when it sent out the postcard on March 16 due to its
large headline, which read:

“PRESIDENT TRUMP’S CORONAVIRUS GUIDELINES FOR AMERICA.”

…which sounds a lot more like a campaign flyer to me, but whatevs.

Oh wait, I’m not alone!

“In terms of design, the main feature of the mailing is Trump’s name rather than the
actual guidelines,” the letter stated. “In fact, the message including the President’s
name takes up more real estate on the postcard — one full side — than any other item.”

The letter went on to lambaste the decision to credit the safety recommendations
to Trump, arguing that it was “particularly misleading considering the fact that
[Trump] has frequently undermined these very CDC guidelines.”

“It appears highly likely that this mailing represents a serious misuse of taxpayer funds
inappropriate communication by a government agency, and an act of illegal electioneering
by Trump administration officials,” the letter concluded. “

So… we all will end up paying for this campaign expense.

Missouri Has Spent Weeks Ignoring White House's Mask Recommendations

September 23, 2020

Two months ago, a maskless Gov. Mike Parson faced a Sedalia crowd with a message
of dismissal for a statewide mask mandate, saying "You don’t need government to tell
you to wear a dang mask" — a notable statement, since, in the coming weeks, the
federal government would attempt to tell him just that.

And not just once.

According to official documents obtained by the Center for Public Integrity the White
House's Coronavirus Task Force has been telling Missouri since at least August that
the state's cases are spreading at alarming rates and masks would help prevent further
transmission and death.

...the August 30 report's recommendations began. "Mask mandates across the state
must be in place to decrease transmission."

Despite the forceful language, Parson ignored the guidance.

On Sunday, the task force released its latest report on Missouri, finding the state has
climbed to the fifth-highest rate of cases in the country, with 101 or more new cases
for every 100,000 people. (The national average is 86.)

On Monday, Parson, i.e. Missouri's coronavirus "Quarterbac," flatly rejected the task force
mask recommendations, because, as he explained it to KCUR in Kansas City, it just isn't
the state's job to tell local counties to establish mask mandates.

Just days before, over the weekend, Parson had appeared at a campaign rally in Springfield,
where he spoke on an indoor stage, maskless, alongside multiple elected officials.

Mike Parson, who just loves sucking up to Donald Trump-

None of this should be shocking, though, after the time where he treated Missouri’s
elderly veterans as disposable props during a photo opportunity-

Missouri Governor Mike Parson, who is unfortunately responsible for ushering some
6.137 million of his constituents through a global pandemic despite the fact he is dumb
as rocks, dropped by a thrift store full of elderly veterans yesterday and just decided not
to wear a mask, because of aforementioned rock-related reasons.

As for Parson? "I chose not to," he tersely told a reporter who asked about his lack
of a face covering during yesterday's daily coronavirus briefing.

"I think it's up to the individual," Parson continued, as reported by KMOV.
"I don't think its government's role to mandate who wears a mask and who
doesn't."

The governor postponed an event today after Missouri’s First Lady tested positive
via rapid test this morning. She had been showing signs of infection before being
tested, according to a news release from the governor's office.

The governor was then tested and the results came back positive. The Post-Dispatch
reports that the Capitol "has been the site of at least nine infections of elected officials
and legislative staff.”

i cannot find one grain of human sympathy for him. not so sure about his wife, though she may be as bad as him. how many others have they infected between them for the sake of their fuckin' hubris?

i would love to see the deliberate scorning of mask-wearing a criminal offense if the person not wearing one is proven to have infected another person; wanton endangerment sounds about right. if that person died? involuntary manslaughter ?
