This will be my 4th trip to Comdex actually - yes, lots of geeks and nerds but I'm there for the whole week - so I'm going to do more then just walk the exhibit hall floor... *smile*

Unfortunately they do shut down some of the shows in town - it seems, historically, the Comdex crowd are not big spenders.

I actually enjoy the show - its a good opportunity for me to talk to some vendors and see some of the new technologies on the horizon.

But mostly I enjoy walking around Vegas - seeing the sights - gambling - going to some clubs... having some fun.

This is my first trip, so I'm pretty excited about the entire event. My friends that go every year say it's great. From what I gather, this year won't be as big or have as many of the deals or freebies that they have had in the past.

I agree, Vegas is a great city to visit and to explore. I love the shows, the lights, the atmosphere and even a little gambling. I'm going with some people that should be pretty outgoing and fun (at least I'm hoping!).

I guess with the state of events in the US that COMDEX will be a bit toned down this year - however, even toned down it will still be huge.

Well - lets see - how many people attend Comdex each year? 200 - 300 thousand? But I will certainly keep my eye out for him. *smile* Tell him I'll be the one who WON'T be at Bill Gate's Keynote on Sunday night. *lol*
