So I agreed to do no-shave November with a group of my buddies well prior to Nov 1. I also ended up meeting a girl on that day and subsequently arranged to have dinner with her, is it ok to just give her a heads up as to why I'm going to look a little, well, "rugged" on the first date on account of no-shave november and expect her to understand, or is this one of those situations where I should just be shaving it off?

More power to you. I couldn't go without shaving.

I think you should just tell her. I would hope she would understand. It's kind of a fun thing to do with your friends.

With any luck, she will not be doing the same.

I think you're overthinking this. I mean, if she showed up for your date with a different hairstyle, would you expect her to explain why? It's the same thing.

Also, I'm not sure why it's a thing in other places, but in Wisconsin it's so that you don't freeze your damn face off while deer hunting. Gun deer season is always late November.

Thank you for explaining. I don't live in a freeze your ass off zone.

It's hardly the same thing given that he already has an expectation of hair atop her head. Maybe she has an expectation of no hair on his face.

In any event, 5 minutes into the date just scratch your scruff/beard an say, "Man, this thing is itchy! I'm glad I only have to do it for a month." Then you can explain what you're doing any why. If nothing else, she'll think you a good guy for doing it.

Then again, she may enjoy you scruffed/bearded and spend the date wondering what the facial hair would feel like on her clit.
