No *rating* for general board

So why do half the boards have a rating column filled with an indiscriminate number of stars. Is there a reason behind this madness? Is there a secret thread vote? Inquiring minds want to know. Is Fred H. behind this shit??

When the new board appeared there were ratings on all of them and then they were taken off the General Board.
