For some reason I still don't understand, I was a rabid fan of Soupy Sales in my youth. Probably because he was just such a total goof, one of the last of the joyous comics. For the most part, comics aren't happy anymore, and Soupy was the end of his line.

The show was one of my faves as a kid and he was so good at acting crazy. R.I.P. Soupy, you've earned a rest.

I've seen him in person a dozen times when I was a kid. I ate lunch with him during the cartoon hour. White fang and Black tooth were his buddies. He did weather forcasts on Detroit Television while I was growing up. I Rode the elevator with him a few times in the Penopscot bldg. Really was a good person.

Aww I didn't like him but he was a part of my childhood...sort of...and silly me thought that you had sworn off soup and I was going to list all of the reasons soup is so very good for you...lol
