Another good one that really gives you the flavor of Boston humor is Bill Burr!

Comedy shows translate well and there are many that have been a huge success here. For me, there aren’t many stand up comedians that translate well. I find Amy Schumer, Joan Rivers, Eddie Murphy funny. Richard Pryor was also a very funny guy

Sean Lock on 8 of 10 cats can watch and re watch it mostly due to the interplay with the other panelists.
Richard Pryor live on the sunset strip that show nearly killed my mum and me could not breathe at some points.
Bill Hicks another sad loss.

Jimmy Carr and Frankie Boyle - full well know where the line is but will step right across it. I am getting better at guessing where the line is - not always though

TBH I think the self satire probably only plays well regionally (you can see in the video’s comments). I’m still surprised at how many people like Good Will Hunting because it felt like a movie about growing up in Cambridge MA (less the violence which was more of a tough section of Boston thing).

I agree with the line crossing that Jimmy Carr and Frankie Boyle always seem to cross and Ricky Gervais is also one for having big shoes where the line is concerned. I do still find them funny as hell. The only problem is Jimmy Carr’s laugh. He sounds like a wanking seal (or that is what I imagine a wanking seal to sound like)!

More family friendly ones that I enjoy are Russell Howard, Joe Lycett, Micky Flanagan, Romesh Ranganathan and the brilliant James Acaster

I would always expect a perv to be on the touchy side

My advice, she should go to a store where GW products are sold, and where Warhammer 40000 is played. I am 99.9% positive she will meet a kind, intelligent man, who will worship the ground she walks on.
