The no buy halloween costumes thread did so well, I thought i'd start one about anniversary presents and see what kind of good ideas y'all could come up with.

9 years people!!!!!! 9 years. But no money. And don't say sex. Thanks.

1. Write him a poem.
2. Do a little collage, past together pictures of you over the years with funny and sexy and interesting phrases cut from magazines.
3. Home made gift certificates for things like massages, or doing his chores, or (I know you said not sex) for sexual favors :)
4. Food: make him an amazing dinner, or if he likes sweets, make him a selection of his favorites...
5. Do you scrapbook? Put together one that documents your 9 years together...

All good ideas but could be modified...

1. Write a poem together.
2. Make the collage together of both of you.
3. Exchange the certificates
4. Make the dinner together.
5. Make the scrapbook together.

Sit down and discuss what would make the anniversary meaningful to both of you.

Home made dinner (nothing with garlic) have a bottle of your favorite bubbly on hand - dessert of strawberries and cream - candle light - soft music (Barry White) -

great him at the door with just a babydoll on...hair uplifted in a soft bun, tendrils of hair which will be flowing a little down your neck (making him want to lift them and kiss the skin there)- Have 2 glasses in hand - hand him one and then pull him by the tie and give him the biggest, best kiss you've ever given him.....you may bypass dinner and go straight for the strawberries and cream...

Congrats!

You & Honey greet him at the door in babydolls

You said "no sex", but look where you are asking the question!

Hey, Og, did I ask for editing!??!?! <grin>

agreed, doing it together is a great idea...

which also brings to mind, sharing a bubble bath and giving each other sensual massages...

She didn't say NO SEX...just for us not to say give him sex as a present....

I love babydolls.....and you know, I don't have one. :(

Yeah, that would work fer everybody.

When can you be here honey?

I'm sending the husband dude a camera for his annivsary and telling him to take a photo as the door opens, then email it.

Hopefully, he'll be bright enough to email it the next morning, not right away.

No. ;)

You didn't ask for editing but anniversaries are for both partners. You should be celebrating the partnership. The best way to do that is together.

ok- so far, we've got some good ideas.

I like oggs ideas of doing stuff together.

This is gonna sound dumb, but all those ideas sound so mushy. Also, memory based stuff can be such a land mine. We've had some stormy times and we haven't quite recovered 100%. Plus, a bulk of pictures and letters and cards and so forth were lost in the cataclysm. We really haven't celebrated an aniversary the last few years. (Ps- we're not married. It's just 9 years together.)

well, in that case - get those babydolls pronto and I'll be in by 9

Then sit down and talk about what would be a good way to celebrate. The problem with that is the past. Either you are celebrating 9 years or you are celebrating the NOW.

Given that not all the 9 years were good - celebrate what is great about your current relationship and FORGET that it is an anniversary.

Your location on your bio page says, "where ever you want me to be" how appropriate:D

and yet, I don't see you here!;)
