One thought comes to mind: scam.

I really don't believe you can teach someone to be suave if they don't have it in them to begin with.

Also, the thought of practically brainwashing someone, assuming NLP works in this way, is just wrong, IMHO.

Clinical hypnosis is much more interesting but some of the core concepts are related.
