One thing I learned about , early in my life, was all about what a nit picker was. It
occurred when I tried to win off the local three card Monte scammer. I had a quick sense of observation then. The idea was that you kept your eye on the cards and didn't get distracted. After the cards were laid out I knew which one to pick. That's when the nit picker went into overdrive. At first he was just a bystander but became highly excited "hey I got the card..it's not that one..it's this one..." Another one piped up.."No it's not that one..I got the one" who said that there had to be only one nit picker..To make it short I lost because I changed my mind under the pressure and picked the wrong card. The real card was the one I originally thought. I lost all my paper route money. Later I saw the three of the scam team together, living it up on my money..I have never Gambled in the years to come so in a way I won because I learned from it..I swore never to let nit pickers make me doubt myself.

The war in Iraq has all the ear marks of a nit picking incident...It's not a sensible or legal war. The benefits to the US should they prevail is dubious. The negative part is that it is polarizing the country, that and people are dying and a country being destroyed. Iraq and the US. So I ask is there something else going on. Like Russia and China..Hey we won the cold war right..We defeated the soviets..Now they are dead..right? They folded and admitted that we were too powerful for them and quit..right? All the nuclear weapons were destroyed..right..?

Are you using the dictionary the rest of us can see??
Or the special krastner invisible version

The Iraq war is not dividing OUR (United States) country. You Liberals, if that's what you are, need a new message. There is no outrage or protest. A couple of Blue States making some mumbling noises??? Thats division?

Im sure You and Ben Laden are sorry to see elections by the end of January.

Now the infantile defications of the two members are clear examples of how nit pickers work on this forum.. They never contribut anything but vicious little regurtations. They never contribute to a debate with more than their fecal expulsons.. Parents should be more responsible about letting their children play with their computers...Oh well school starts back in a week..

Bush's approval ratings beg to differ with your assessment:

The only approval rating that bush cares starts with a $ sign..

Not to be a nit picker, but...that is called kibbitzing...

kibbitz: one who looks on and often offers unwanted advice or comment especially at a card game; broadly : one who offers opinions

If you view the war in Iraq as an isolated incident like the taking of Haiti or Grenada, then you have an excellent point, but not a stopping one as the two above easily meet your criteria for a severe waste of time. If you look at the Nicaraguan incident as simply, Iran-Contra, then Oliver North is a criminal. But it was just one of Reagan's battlefields in the cold war and part of a winning strategy. You must view Iraq in the totality of the region and what it will take to stabilize the failing Soviet client states in the aftermath of said Cold War.

Thanks for the info..never knew what kibbitzing meant...Now my life is complete..
However when the person has a stake in the game, like causing a person to lose, then he becomes a shill or if you will, a nit picker...

It's not a different dictionary; it's an alternate perception of reality that Krastner is using. Perhaps I should say...ALTERED perception of reality.

Go ahead, Krastner. Look it up!

Krastner doesn't HAVE sex. He's too old to get it up, so he comes on a porn board and posts nonsense as a way to try to make himself feel potent.
