Hi, So I had a piercing and had to take it out after 6 months, I got an infection elsewhere and it just would not heal. I am large when it comes to breast size ddd's so does that play a factor in piercing. I really miss it and now would like them both done. Anyone out there have any advice or experience with this??
I would love feedback
thanks

 School's out; the leg-humpers (to use Eilan's great descriptor) abound!

Anna, maybe warrior queen will stop by, but otherwise I bet she wouldn't mind a PM from you if you don't get the answers you're seeking. She's pretty much our resident piercer, and I've yet to see a piercing question stump her. I've seen her around recently, too, so it probably wouldn't take too long to get her advice. :)

Just going on common sense, if you do get it done, it'd probably be wise to make sure your immune system is at its best well beforehand, not do it when/right before your I.S. will likely be taxed by seasonal viruses, allergies or a lot of stress, and to just do one at a time to see how your body reacts. Perhaps you could look into natural ways to boost your immune system; I know taking green tea extract along with plenty of zinc (most of us are constantly deficient) and Vitamin C has helped strengthen mine a lot.

I don't know if size makes a difference, but it might, since larger breasts sometimes have blood flow issues, which may make one heal slower, more prone to infection, etc.

Again, I'm not an expert, so please don't take my word for it and do seek out the opinions of experts. Do you have a piercer you'd like to go with? Either way, have you asked him/her/local experts?

I’ve had my nipples pieced twice (I’m male btw), the second time because I eventually had to remove the first set.

Basically, I’m still not sure why it happened, but the first set just refused to heal properly. I was doing a lot of gym work initially, so maybe the daily heat and sweat had something to do with it, and I also caught them a number of times, opening up small tears which healed very slowly.
Maybe it was something to do with the piercer.
Maybe my immune system was a bit wonky – although I suspect not. I very, very, rarely get sick, even with a cold.
I persevered with them for a good 8 years or so, and finally just removed them because I was tired of the constant maintenance.

A few years ago I got new piercing done, and it healed just fine – quickly and with relatively low maintenance. Now, I don’t even think about them and they get a cursory wash in the shower.

So basically, I say go for it – they may very well heal much better this time, and if they don’t, well, you haven’t lost anything by trying :)

I had mine done a while ago and took forever to heal, I took them out one night to go to a concert tried to put them back in and the holes had closed i might do it again..

had to clean them a lot though

Hi I would like to comment I have had mine done for roughly 8 months now and I LOVE peircing but my body does not my body tends to reject them but from what I have discovered when you get a HINT of infection use warm water and sea salt its the mirical stuff plus will help you heal faster I have 13 piercings I should know... So my advice go get them redone and just use sea salt and warm warter mix it in a glass on put your nipple in it lean it back and swoosh it out works great even for my hood! GL! HTH

Hi Anna, you might want to pm daiseelady on the MI thread in the playground. She also has large breasts. I believe she's had one nipple pierced once and the other twice. I don't remember the reason why the first time didn't work out, but she's who I went to when I made the decision to get mine done. Comeout2play on the same thread has her's pierced as well and is also large breasted.
