Okay I'm looking for the word that describes this:

When a woman's breast is stimulated the nipple gets elongated and stiff but then around the areola (sp?) there appears to be some crinkles that appear as the breast seems to get firmer. What are those crinkles called?

Delightful ?

Crinkles sounds about right... quivering crinkles is a bit of a mouthful ;)

I always say my nipples get stiff and the areolae pucker but that's just me

I don't know - "clench" connotes gripping something to me. I also call it pucker, though.

It reminds me of the way your fingers get pruny when you've been in the water for a while. But the phrase "pruned nipples" does little more for me than make me giggle... So I'm agreeing with the "pucker" group.

Somebody alert Jenny Jackson to the humourous potential of "pruned nipples." I would have fits of laughter if she worked that into a story!
