In late October, Snowy, a Great Dane, gave birth to 19 pups; 9 girls and 10 boys. I can't imagine the chaos in the house while raising all those babies.

I agree. Poor mama Snowy. The human contingent of the family are supplementing with bottle feedings, but that bit of chaos, making sure every pup gets a meal, must be exhausting as well.

They will be up for sale at some point. I would like to hope 8 weeks as earlier than that deprives the pups of some doggy socialization skills.

I had a neighbor once with a great dane. That beast would lay right in the middle of the road and there was no moving him. He'd even give you the stink eye when you went over the curb to get around him.

I have been around 12 or more Great Dane puppies, it's awesome and not at all chaotic.

At 3 months though, chaos ensues.

Both male, both desexed as one was liver and one was harlequin.
