Night of the living clothes

There is a commercial on TV that I've seen a couple of times now where a bunch of high-schoolers are being chased by clothes, complete outfits that looks as if they merely removed the people from inside.

Anyway, I was thinking that could be a lit story. Except instead of high school, make it college. And the clothes that come alive include the ones that people are wearing. So everyone who survives has to go around naked. Maybe it isn't all clothes, just certain clothes, or there is something that triggers the clothes to come alive and attack people. So the naked people end up attacking anyone with clothes, stripping them naked.

Make it so the "clothes" are really subjects of some bizzare magic or experiment gone horribly wrong

It's an interesting idea, though I'm more for people being raped by their own clothing.
