$100 per couple and you all get your own bedroom. Blue Ridge is beautiful as well. And it's on a river.

I get the Cohutta Suite since I found it. But all the bathrooms have whirlpool tubs and there is a 7 person tub on a deck. Nice pool table.

It would beat the hell out of a hotel room.

Agreed. I've lobbied to hold our Chicago Litogethers in a place (or a few adjoining ones) like this. This also seems like a ridiculously affordable rental. Around here (Lake Geneva, WI or Galena, IL), such rentals generally run $500 or more per night.

MW, check out Madison more closely, I could be imagining things but I've seen some really nice and somewhat cheaper options. It's a bit of a haul but closer for you than for me.

Oh my gosh, I've actually been there!

My husband's boss is extremely wealthy. Every summer he hosts a huge bash for employees. He has a cabin (cabin, yeah right, it's three times the size of my house!) up there that is absolutely amazing and the property is breathtaking. Last summer it wasn't finished, but he wanted everyone to come up anyway to fish, use the jet skis, take the boat out and then have a big bon fire after dark. So he booked that place (I'm pretty sure that's the place) for anyone who wanted to stay over. Lots of people did, because there was much imbibing of adult beverages taking place. (free booze, who can resist?) We couldn't stay overnight because we had nobody to take our kids. But I got to take a tour. It was gorgeous!

That would be a great place to celebrate our anniversary in September.
