Congressional committee formed.

As John Madden might say, boom!

Country is coming apart and the (D)eez are tackling the real hard issues..... racist comments from NFL coaches.

LOL

I'm in no way defending what Gruden said in those emails, but someone in the NFL leaked those emails specifically to get Gruden fired. Which at the very least butts up against blackmail.
Did he deserve to be fired? Yeah. That doesn't change the fact that those emails were in possession of the NFL from an internal investigation into workplace misconduct from the Washington Football Team. A team Gruden has no affiliation with. It smells a bit like the NFL decided to extort Mark Davis into firing the head coach instead of doing the dirty work themselves.

I really feel dirty being on any side of an issue that includes the Raiders. I think I need a shower.

.
It appears to be a case of institutionally tolerated / sanctioned racism, sexism, and homophobia.

A congressional investigation should go a long way towards educating some people about the continued presence of a good ol' hetero white boy's club in American institutions.

The NFL obviously can't be trusted to investigate this scandal that goes waaaay beyond John Gruden.

*nods*

That makes sense I guess. Otherwise it would just be a weird commie move.

Inflation, foot shortages, supply chain shortages, but congress should investigate racist comments by a coach that was fired? Real nice way to have your priorities in order. No wonder you leftists aren't taken seriously

In case you haven't noticed, this whole year the Congressional Democratic Caucus (not really "leftists," I'll admit) has focused most of its attention on the country's material and economic problems.

Peck again, totally backwards from reality and ignoring the consensus definition of the left and it's defining characteristics.

Peace is war.
Ignorance is war.
Democrats aren't left and they're focused on economics problems.

Just ignore all the news and your own lying eyes.... peck sayz so. :D

.
Congress gets paid to investigate things like this AND deal with all the other issues facing Americans.

Democrats can handle the investigation and everything else if the Deplorable republicans stop obstructing their efforts.

👍

Systemic problems should be looked at. Especially when a business chooses to look at them internally and then not release the results. The problem isn't Gruden...the problem is why the system allows for people like Gruden to occur?

Kapernik wasn't blackballed my ass

Might have been Raiders owner Mark Davis who leaked them. Gruden had 7 seasons left on a 10 year, $100 million contact. His record was barely over 500. Gruden’s departure was a blessing to the teams hope of becoming a playoff caliber team.
