They had no choice since they had no evidence of voter fraud, well, they just made stuff up to be blunt.

I guess my question here is, should this be protected speach? Is it ok to dupe 72 million folks into believing pure, non-factual fantasy wrapped up in the appearance of reality?

Yes, a legal remedy is apparent here and the damage has already been done... clarification and redaction will not bring many of the 72 million mislead individuals back to the barn.

Lies are not protected speech. I think the phrase I read was "false statements of fact".

The damage they did to the company's reputation is incredible
They should be held financially responsible

Fox "News", "News"max, and One America "News" all had to issue statements, they're terrified of getting sued.

That's quite a stretch ** no voter fraud** The only issue I read was fraud concerning smartmatic, that doesn't encompass the wide spectrum of existing voter fraud.

Newsmax would like to clarify its news coverage and note it has not reported as true certain claims made about these companies.

There are several facts our viewers and readers should be aware. Newsmax has found no evidence either Dominion or Smartmatic owns the other, or has any business association with each other.

We have no evidence Dominion uses Smartmatic’s software or vice versa.

No evidence has been offered that Dominion or Smartmatic used software or reprogrammed software that manipulated votes in the 2020 election.

Smartmatic has stated its software was only used in the 2020 election in Los Angeles, and was not used in any battleground state contested by the Trump campaign and Newsmax has no evidence to the contrary.

Dominion has stated its company has no ownership relationship with the House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's family, Sen. Dianne Feinstein's family, the Clinton family, Hugo Chavez, or the government of Venezuela.

Neither Dominion nor Smartmatic has any relationship with George Soros.

Smartmatic is a U.S. company and not owned by the Venezuelan government, Hugo Chavez or any foreign official or entity.

Smartmatic states it has no operations in Venezuela. While the company did election projects in Venezuela from 2004 to 2017, it states it never was founded by Hugo Chavez, nor did it have a corrupt relationship with him or the Venezuelan government.

It won't change our Fascist traitors' opinions here...they simply have no morals to say "I was wrong"

Actually they did find one case of voter fraud. It was a republican trying to vote for his dead mother.

Wait wait.. a father put on a disguise to vote a second time as his own son.

Jail time for either of them!??

Or the lady who voted twice in 2016 because Trump scared her into thinking her vote had not been counted? How many followed his advice this year to try to vote twice, to check the system?
