BBC online placed a story about Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston's wedding rings over a story about a train filled with acid derailing in Baltimore and causing mass evacuations...

Wedding ring stories are NOT good journalism, nor should they be placed over killer acid trains derailing in major cities.

The world is ending soon, I swear it.

The thing...

...about British journalism and news shows (key word..."shows"), is that with only a couple of exceptions (The Times and The Observer perhaps), they make no claim to being about "news". Nope. The headline is usually about some politician making a soap star his/her slave followed on page three by the latest young woman baring her breasts and hoping to become a star as a result.

The National Enquirer, responsible and serious journalism that it is, is nowhere to be seen!
