Those asking question called 'racists,' 'misguided adherents to Constitution'

MIAMI, Fla. – Some national news media are declaring that U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio is a natural-born citizen and thus eligible for the presidency or vice presidency, even though Rubio's constitutional eligibility remains unclear and the popular Florida Republican has himself downplayed any interest in running on a White House ticket.

In a Daily Caller piece today titled "Coming soon: Rubio 'birthers,'" journalist Matt Lewis warns, "There is already a movement afoot (led by some on the fringe) to disqualify him from serving as president (which would presumably disqualify him from serving as vice president). That's right – some are arguing that Rubio is not eligible because he is not a 'natural-born citizen.'"

The move to more definitively define exactly who is a natural born citizen is gaining steam...

It's only okay to question Obama's legitimacy. And no, submitting both a long and short form birth certificate with public comments from the Hawaii state registrar does not mean Obama is legit.

I love it.. the OP is outraged that some people have conspiracy theories about the legtimacy of someone's birth

I guess there isn't an irony section on his website

Excuse me while I whip this out...

So funny that the statists don't even get that "the Rubio birthers", "the fringe" "journalist Matt Lewis warns" of, are the exact same people who are challenging Obama's eligibility, too...

...and exactly why Rubio will never be able to garner his Party's nomination for either VP or P.

Rubio was born on American soil to two legal resident aliens; his ma and pa didn't become naturalized until years after his birth; both his parents weren't American citizens at the time of his birth.

Obama was born on American soil (reportedly) to an American citizen and an alien; both his parents weren't American citizens at the time of his birth.

The massive illegal invasion the country has experienced in the last 10-15 years will only exacerbate this "natural born" issue:

Whether a natural born citizen is actually one born to parents who are both American citizens (natural born or naturalized).

Except for the part about that not being true

Rubio's citizenship status is even less controversial than that of President Obama's. The Supreme Court definitively decided the matter in 1898.

In the case of United States v. Wong Kim Ark, 169 U.S. 649 (1898), the Supreme Court ruled that a person who

  • is born in the United States
  • of parents who, at the time of his birth, are subjects of a foreign power
  • whose parents have a permanent domicile and residence in the United States
  • whose parents are there carrying on business and are not employed in any diplomatic or official capacity of the foreign power to which they are subject

becomes, at the time of his birth, a citizen of the United States by virtue of the first clause of the 14th Amendment of the Constitution.

All of those circumstances were and are true of Marco Rubio and his parents. There is simply nothing else to discuss.

sure, they hated it when someone questionioned obama citizen ship and yet these same fucktards now play the game with Marco Rubio. got to love the fucktard Dem's
