I'll never have time to write this myself, but I'd love to read it. Somebody please take it....

A man becomes a vampire (or other dark, beautiful creature) against his will. He is very upset about it and needs someone to talk to that he can trust. He seeks out his girlfriend/fiancee/wife and she thinks he's joking. He proves it to her, and finds his new status makes him crave his old love in a new and more powerful way. There would be much surprise and wonder felt by both characters.

This could work with either partner being the nonhuman one, depending on your particular kink.

I know Vampyre tales are popular at Lit...

(Especially on the SRP...)

But, I don't think I've ever seen one quite like this yet.

I don't remember (Lit) authors going into the emotional turmoil of a newly turned Vampyre. (In a role play I was in with Poohlive years ago my character longed for the man she was engaged to before turning with deeper, and stronger, passion.)

I think this could be a refreshing addition to a popular theme! Anyone else agree?

Absolutely. My only hangups are:

1.) I want to get through my current story first (since I'm actually making progress).

2.) I have never role-played, have been, or know anything proper about being a vampire. The best I could do is conjure up a short, sappy wanna-be story about the proposed plotline.

In that sense, I do think it's a great idea. Eroticism is very much tied into the thoughts of the characters. This plotline is simple yet deep enough to work off such intricities.

If I possessed the knowhow, I'd start my own. I don't and won't pretend to, so I leave it up to someone of more cunning background and writing expertise.
