You guys are making me homesick. I spent the first eight (and formative) years of my life growing up in the neighborhood NE of Howell and Layton, and going to good old St. Veronica's, just off of Pine.

Haven't liked that one before, or after, they rebuilt it. Holt's not too bad, it'll get better once they finish the Home Despot next door. Parking's a bit of a challenge right now. Plus, they don't have my favorite coffee company (Berres Brothers) any more .

When I was 8, my family moved out the to the western suburbs, and I lived there until I went away to college. Now I live out in the Finger Lakes region of upstate New York, which looks a lot like Wisconsin, only more hilly, more grape vines and more waterfalls. (There are supposedly 150 waterfalls within 10 miles of my city.) It's pretty, and there are many things that I like here, but as my wife says, "you can take the boy out of Wisconsin, but you can't take Wisconsin out of the boy." I follow the Packers avidly and I am on a constant search for fellow sheapshead players.

My mom still lives in Milwaukee, so I make it back usually at least once a year.

I like to go to the Oak Creek one on Howell. They are opening one in South Milwaukee on 32 real soon. I hope that one is decent.
