I'm not a recognized editor here. However, I've helped others in other mediums and on another site but, I am trying to get out of my shell here. If, all you want is a quick review and a rating (I do one to ten because five stars doesn't cut it. You deserve to know if it was rounded up or down) I would like to help.

You may get more response if you post this to the Editor's Forum.

not trying to be an editor here. just saying what I am and what I am willing to do.

And Bram noted that most who are looking for editing help as you are offering go to the Editors Forum to look for it--not here.

I don't think the OP is offering editing help, he is offering to review stories. Give them a rating and a critique, detailed feedback.

So perhaps the feedback forum might be a better fit.

You're probably right on that. Thrown by his use of the word "editor" in his title.

when/if a response from me comes back with notes and questions the word "editor" would be a big hint as to why.

Feedback is what I am looking to give. However, answers to my questions would help me with my story. So I'm also looking for it.

Yeah the title doesn't quite line up with the thread.

Could probably start a review thread similar to Soulfulbard and I think...Lane Geller? They have no shortage of people offering up their stories for discussion.

Bard's are pretty insightful.

do people really only read the first couple of words to any title?

"Newer editor offering to review stories." Its not a lie. If the story is worth it I will edit it.

But, I need reactions to critiques i.e; 'Why didn't you do 1, or explain 2, or expand on 3?' 'because 1 leads to 2 and I'm trying to lead them away from 2 even though there was foreshadowing alluding to 2 and I thought that the 3 was explained earlier and/or general knowledge.' It helps me think about how others might come at a problem or situation.

And just so you know that's also editing. so thanks for the head-up I would change the title but, Imma gonna stick with it for now.
