Welcome to Lit!
There is an excellent guide to RPing as well as rules of this board in one of the sticky topics at the top. When you think you are ready to jump in, just find a thread marked open (or even just not marked as "closed") and write your character's introduction similarly to how other players do it. You could also check out 'threads that need players' sticky thread at the top of the board.
