Newbie Question - Is It Smutty Enough?

Hello all you all! I'm new here, poked around a little bit, read the guidelines and whatnot. I have a new serialized novel that I was thinking that I would like to publish here in sections. But it (like me) likes to take things slow and the first chapter only hints at the smut to come...

So do you think it would be welcome here? The works I'm reading here are much more literal and to-the-action. I'd hate to irritate readers if they're not really looking for the sort of thing I do.

Alternatively, I have more action oriented shorts... Maybe that would be better?

I don't have to read it to give the response we give here about twice a week. With a reader base as large as Literotica's is, you are going to find both a fan base for anything and readers who hate anything you could post and are happy to tell you so. So, just write what you like, enjoy the fan base that you get, and ignore those who don't like it. You're not going to please everyone (or turn off everyone) with whatever you write (unless you are totally illiterate and no one can understand what you wrote--which, from your post, doesn't seem to be a problem for you.)

There's a novel category, stuff posted there is expected to be a bit slower at getting to the sex. I write science fiction and fantasy romance myself, but I've had positive reactions to stories which have no sex or only fantasizing or masturbating in the first chapter.

If you have to ask, then no. It's not smutty enough. Filth it up until you're absolutely ashamed of yourself and no longer have to ask.
