Hi everyone,
I'm new here, my name is Kadeker from Germany.

I'm looking for a beta reader for my story.
First of all the "technical data":
Categorie: "Incest/Taboo",
almost 35000 words,
8 chapters and is 64 pages long with Arial 12 in my programm.
Book description: "(Not) a disaster winter"
The catastrophic winter of 1978/79, two siblings are snowed in, alone on their Parents‘ Farm in Schleswig-Holstein (Northern Germany, near the border to Denmark) and become loser in the process.
How do they deal with this situation...

It was my first story "(K)Ein Katastrophenwinter", which I wrote down and published on the German Literotica page on November 7th, 2022.
Since the story, if I can believe the comments and ratings, was well received by German readers, I wanted to make it available to English-speaking readers as well.
Although I learnd English at school for 6 years (but that was a little longer ago), and I also had "support" from a translation program... But is the story easy to read for a "native English speaker"?

I am currently in the final stages of editing and correcting based on my knowledge.
I think I'll finish these over the next week and then turn the story over to a beta reader with confidence.
I would be very happy about offers here in the forum or via PM. I can provide the story (via email) as .doc, .docx, .txt, .pdf, .rtf or .pap, at the option of the potential beta reader.

Thank you Kadeker

You can PM me 1000 words or so of the story (can PM's be be that long?), which would be plenty for me to give you a quick critique of your English. A couple of paragraphs summarizing the story would also be useful. No need to send the entire story to anybody for what you're asking.

Same here. I have some time available to assist.

Thanks for your offer, but maybe I'm to clumsy, but I can't find the Button to start a conversation in your Profil, as I found it in the profil of nice90sguy...

I'll take a few thou too. Could probably do 2-3k.

If you can't send that much in a convo, let me know and I'll provide you with an e-mail address.

Thanks, PM is on its way.
I read what you sent, and I can see why it did well on the German Lit site. With a few edits here and there, it should land nicely on the American side as well.

I do prefer to work through Google Drive/Google Docs for the time being with my laptop out of commission. You can share editor access to your manuscript there either via sharable link (incase you ask multiple volunteers to assist), or I can provide my email for access via access list per email address.
