newbie contest help

I just opened this account and posted my first story as an entry for the Earth Day contest. But instead of putting "Eart Day" in the notes, I put it in the keywords.

The story has not yet been approved and posted. What's the fastest way to ensure my story is not left out of the contest?

Go to your submissions page:

Scroll down to your story and find the link "Pending"

Click that link, and then go to the section for moderator's notes, and put the Earth Day Contest notation in there:

EARTH DAY STORY CONTEST 2009

Preview, and then submit again. It should go up within a day after you do that.

Note that if you do this on a story that isn't a contest entry, it will move it back to the bottom of the queue, extending the time it will take for your story to post. The reason for the notation is to find contest stories and post them as soon as possible.
