Newbie Author Saying Hello

Hey everyone, I've decided to finally post on this forum and say hello to all the other authors out there. I've only recently (last three months) started writing short stories for submission on this website, but I've been an avid reader for about a year.

So I just thought I'd drop in and get to know a few people out there, see if anyone had read any of my work. I do recognise a few names out there from their work which I've read.

As I'm new to the forum, I'm not quite sure what subject matters should be discussed in this thread, but I was hoping that maybe someone had read something of mine and could give some feedback.

Generally I've found readers to be quite good (although erratic) in giving feedback or a pat on the back to keep me going. So I think I'll let my incoherent ramblings serve as my first post and say g'day ....

The best place to go if you want feedback is the story feedback forum...here we just well i'm not sure what we do,some of it is serious authorly writing stuff,some is just good fun,funny stuff but we're all authors here

Well worth reading, Fly. Plus you'll get to relate to the narrator first hand, or whatever your tiny appendages are called.

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone, I'll take on some of the tips a few of you shared and put a link to my stories on my messages. I'm still figuring out a few of the forum features and where things go but it shouldn't be too long before I get the hang of things.
