New to this forum. Not certain whatsoever as to what to post and where. Perhaps asking the question answers the question? But I think not.

At any rate, ladies and gentleman, I bid myself welcome and hope you all feel the same.

Regards,
~biggles

Welcome!
Enjoy yourself!;);):rose::rose:

Welcome to the funny farm. Watch where you step and beware trolls. What are you writing?

Welcome, biggles! :kiss::kiss:

Tell us a little about what brings you here, and what you would like to write.

I'm only two months old here, and dashed off three stories. I've found the Authors' Hangout to be friendly, helpful and welcoming, albeit with the odd rough edges.

Welcome...the meds are in the cabinet on the wall in the headmistresses office.

The crazies roam the floor for about eight hours a day in shifts. So you will never be lonely, except when all the invisible patients are out and about.

Good luck...you'll need it. ;)

Hello, and welcome. It's possible to learn and share stuff here, but mostly it's for amusement. Don't take ANYTHING in this forum personally and you'll be fine. Use the Ignore feature freely and you'll find your stay hospitable.

Welcome aboard.

If you look at theain discussion board eac forum has a general description of what is discussed there.

Welcome to the land of Chaos.

You'll find that the Naked Lounge has an almost infinite variety of drinks available just; ask barman Rolf.
Queen of the joint is Sweetwitch [aka Molly] and she can be Very persuasive.
The Bear (Voluptuary_Manque) will tell you all about the Bathing suite and the handmaidens attendant thereat. See Olaf for details.

One thing; please do not annoy the Dragon; get to know him first.

Welcome and "Hi there." New faces are always welcomed. After four years of messing around in here, it's still easy to feel like a newbie. I think you'll find all the expected forum rats around here calling each other names and making references to past slights that still sting. Best suggestion? If it looks like a pile of shit and smells like a pile of shit, it's probably a pile of shit. Don't step in it unless you don't mind a bit of stink.

Still, in between the in-fighting, you're sure to find some lively discussions about writing, story ideas, and lamenting about a Muse or two who doesn't want to play nice with their owner.

So find a thread that looks interesting, make a comment, and see what happens. Before long, you might even start your own thread with your question or comment.

Oh, and in general, I wouldn't hesitate to use the PM (private message) feature as a way to get to know someone. Most of us welcome PMs (including the site owners) and if you're not careful, you might find a kindred spirit or two haunting this place. Have fun, get posting, and keep writing! :)

And be sure to watch out for posters telling you to watch out for those doing the same thing they are. :D

>The best advice I could give you is people on the Authors Forum are good folks.
>When you venture out of the Authors Fourm, in a place like the General forum those folks are assholes. Tell'm to fuck off in your own way, if they attack you.
