The Widening Web of Digital Lit By DAVID ORR, Published: October 3, 2004.

This is an interesting and informative article about literary oriented sites on the web. Among the sites listed are: Beatrice, Publishers Lunch, both Poetry and Poetry Daily, The London Times Review--Book Diary, and Godawful Fan Fiction. In other words, it's a real mixed bag.

You'll have to sign up with at the main New York Times site but that's quick and free.

Rumple Foreskin says, check it out.

Last time I looked, 'clean sheets' still had the best of quality erotica because there is a selection process (www.cleansheets.com). A 'free speech' site like Lit., is going to have a range from the 1/100 excellent pieces to the truckloads of mostly awful free 'porn speech.'

Pure, Slick,

The NYTBR isn't slighting Clean Sheets or, even worse, Literotica. These aren't story collections. Most of the sites do have articles and some, especially the fan fiction sites, contain short stories, but they tend to focus on the business of writing and the publishing industry. Check 'em out.

Ha! They flatter the bag if they call it mixed, and there isn't a single pornster represented. They must be frightened. They think we'll lure then into the AH with the siren's song of our bickering, and then we won't let them go.

It's probably for the best. I'm certain they wouldn't have known what to make of Dr. M's work, or Gauche's, and then if they took ChilledV off the shelf...They'd never be the same. Poor boys.Book Diary, my aunt beaulah. Godawful Fan Fiction. Are these people perverts?
