Yippee! I'm going to New York City July 16th. I've only been once before for a quickie weekend trip so I saw the Statue of Liberty and the inside of a very seedy hotel room in Newark (don't ask).

Anyone have any cool restaurant picks, gallery recommendations, or hidden gems that I must see (ok, the last one sounded suggestive, didn't it?).

Also, I've got to find some fetish shops. Hey, I live in Michigan. Victoria's Secret is considered racy.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Carmine's is an excellent Italian restaurant right in the Theatre District.......I forget the exact address..but it is very close to the TKTS booth area (where you can get 1/2 price theatre tix.day of the show for selected shows). Right in Times Square.

Have a great time,Honey,i was there last year.
I would give you what i thought was the best about NYC but i took that part home with me.That was the woman of my dreams, that i found right here at LIT.Nothing else compares to her,so you can see why i cant tell you what the best of nyc is.Ill ask her later today, she lived there all her life until she gave it all up for me.WOW!!!

Hiya.... you will have a ball in NY.... I was there in Feb for a week, my first time... and cant wait to go back.

We went to see Mama Mia on Broadway... it was fantastic!!! We did the Circle Line tour on the Hudson the first day which really gave us our bearings. Go to Pier 17.... a bit touristy but fun. The same for a horse drawn carriage ride around Central Park... cheesey but romantic!!!

Have a great time!!!! :D

Don't forget St.Patrick's Cathedral.....humbling church to visit....historical.....Empire State Bulding.....still an incredible view....Blue Note Jazz club.......

Honey, for fetish stores in NYC I would suggest you post something to either the BDSM Talk or BDSM Cafe forums. We have several people on those forums that live in or around NYC that can help you out. Problem is, a lot of them don't post here.

Good luck and have a great time!

Thanks for the super suggestions, Ammo, Saoirse, and Chele. I love getting input from real people instead of getting things strictly from guidebooks. I don't think Arthur Frummer and I have much in common.
