:rose:

resolutions are so easy to make
but not difficult to break
so this year i think
nothing is the course i'll take

exercise is overrated
losing weight...been there
quitting smoking isn't happening
i'm to the point where i don't care

why start something i know i won't finish?
instead i think i will vow
to have more fun and lots more sex
then my life will have lots more wow!

I swear I am going to throw away
all of the sugar
in our house

I want to put together a book of poetry
and trick someone into publishing it

oh my god did I say that out loud?

I am terror-fied of failure and yes I know all of the platitudes and motivation plaques and I believe them but I do not BELIEVE them.

There I said it damn it.

my New Years poetry resolution

I resolve to not read and drive
and if poetry feels like popping in
to visit I will listen
otherwise ,I refuse to dwell on words
that must be forced into existence.

so there ;)

I resolve ...

like a promise given, not
taken away.
this one shall live forever
not just for today.

my whole being, being
in such despair
breathing, not living
no coming up for air.

watch
as each daisy grows
no picking allowed
my heart it holds.

listen
to the winds whispering voice
and know with each falling word
I do, have a choice.

learn
from past deeds
only with my wisdom
will I succeed.

live
for the time
when I'm no longer
feel a pantomime.

I tried, lol.
I really made no resolution.
Seems everytime I do that
well, everyone knows how that works ~~

:rose:

sometimes I seek the resolution
to write no more words.
the words I find are
flat,
lifeless. except for that one phrase
that catches my attention.
then I seek the resolution to write more.
write better.
right. write.

I resolve
not to jump over
the moon
and lick the cow's
face

now,
I can't promise
not to do
the same
with my typewriter

and
a piece of paper

my resolve revolves
around submission
to submit
at least
one poem to
a reasonably
prestdigious
recepticle
it would be
nice if it
was
accepted

How odd. My resolution
also involves you
and your submission.

Oh, my!

Yes, I am eager. But 1000 times? Verdammt! I'm not the guy.

Sorry, but it depends upon the time frame. I ain't no twenty anymore, eh? Ha ha. <--nervous laughter, cue aging angstlishness, you cruel, cruel woman ;)

it's baaaaad poetry..but it's my resolution. :)

In the past it was "I can't"
but the buck must now stop here
no longer can I let this life
be wrestled down by fear.
"How?" and "When?" will guide my days
for it's been far too long,
I was a weaker woman then
but now I am grown strong.

:p

you misconstrue
you really do
1000 times' - whoo!
is too much too
and I am not a croo-
el femme but
just a rotten speller.

(don't dwell on your age - you're young at heart and that's what matters)

I hereby end this hijacking

I think you have both gotten seriously off-track. Go back to the handcuffs and video camera part and start over. ;)

And just so I am not included in the hijack, Tess so graciously tried to stop, I will add my poetic resolution. I resolve to concentrate my submissions on the anal retentive errr I mean informative journals and ezines in my own country. And maybe think about the book thing.
