So I really just started writing my own stories a few weeks ago, although I've been reading stories here for years.

I'm already learning from my mistakes lol. I've figured out quickly that editing is key, and I'm trying to take my time and refine my stories better as I go.

I'm open to any and all feedback and suggestions for any of my stories, even negative comments can help me learn...as long as you're not just being cruel lol.

I'm hoping to learn more and become part of the community.

Re-define your request for assistance

I stopped and stared at your post. So many viewed it but no one responded. I thought I would take a look and see why.

You have a good number of writings. Your request for feedback is non-specific. I realized your link wasn't to just one story to focus on that you thought you could use some help with - I believe that's why no one reached out to provide a helping hand. Your post is a buckshot shoutout for commentary. Might help if your focus on one story or some aspect of one story. Its easier to ask a friend to help paint the front door of your house than just to ask him over and paint your whole house, inside and out!

A lot of high-scoring stories. Well done. Keep it up...

Welcome! X

I enjoyed nights of the giving head, the other stories aren't what I normally read but seem to be getting a good reception. I'm pretty new here too, I've found it helpful and welcoming so far. If you're looking for general hints to improve your writing there are loads of old but still helpful threads on the hangout but the search box is a bit broken, closing before you can type. It works if you cut and paste into it to find help with specific stuff.

Is what lured me on here in the first place. Despite the mid thread drama, I got more out of this than the actual textbooks I bought on creative writing.

My sig has my list of writing tips. My most common piece of advice is to start with an interesting scene. I would have started "The Jenna Arragnement Pt. 01" with:
I arrived at the coffee shop about 10 minutes early. I sat in the parking lot for a few minutes, trying to calm my nerves. Taking a few deep breaths, I headed inside.
And then feed everything above that into the story as he walks to the coffee shop, sits down and waits for Jenna.

That's what I would have done. You did fine with the way you did it.
