Greetings, All,

I am relatively new to Literotica.com, but I am certainly enjoying reading some great stories here and posting a few of my own.

I've been writing professionally for a long time; however, I have only recently started contributing my work here.

For some strange reason, I imagined that there wouldn't be so many "haters" on this site. But, sadly, there seem to be a lot. Don't get me wrong. I got some wonderful feedback sent to me via e-mail. But, I also got some anonymous trolls sending me very personal hate mail. I didn't know whether to gasp or laugh. I think I did both. LOL.

Anyway, I guess I just wanted to say that I'm deeply saddened by the level of immaturity and absurdity shown in these anonymous notes. Really, I think everyone is entitled to any opinion they want to have, and they're perfectly free to express it WHEN IT HAS TO DO WITH THE WRITING. But, some of the notes I got were actually personal attacks on me based on info. they gleaned from my profile. Good grief. That's pretty rough. Oh well, I'm a grownup and know perfectly well how to take it on the chin, but I'm starting to agree with some of the social psychology materials I've read in my day that suggest that anonymity seems to offer a breeding ground for people to behave horribly toward one another.

I think Charles Bukowski had it right when he wrote that:

"people are just not good to one another"

C'est la vie. Despite all the haters, I'm glad to have found a place so rich with wonderful writers. The trolls can f**k off!

Hello, and welcome lesbiaphrodite. Yes, the trolls can get nasty when their not fed what they think they want. Or when they drink too much. Fact of life here. And some categories are much worse than others (Loving Wives being one).

Put a link in your signature so we can find your stories easier. We're a lazy lot here from time to time.

Many Thanks, Mon Amie

Thanks for your post, and I added a link to my signature so anyone who's interested in reading me can easily access my work.

It's reassuring to know that I'm not alone in being the object of derision by hateful trolls. I suppose there are haters wherever you go. C'est la guerre.

:rose:

A lot of people apparently have signatures turned off, so they won't be able to see that. You're better off putting it in the text of your post.

Oh no, you're far from alone. The trolls have inspired stories and threads in the the Author's Hangout. Some authors even take pride in their ability to elicit a certain level of troll scorn. True troll motivation is a still unknown, and will remain so until we can catch a few of them. :)

Why is that? Because of all the big pictures and stuff?

I have signatures turned off because of the lengthof some of the signatures. It seems like all I do is scroll through sigs when I have them turned on. But then when I want to see a particular sig, I just need to view that person's profile page and I can see it.

lesbiaphrodite - Unfortunately, there are a lot of trolls here, but this place also has the most amazing network of writers I've come across. Just learn to ignore the trolls.

I read Cashmere. I liked it a lot. There are some impressions I'd like to give you if you are open to an honest crit. :)

I just read "Adela." It is so nicely written. I liked the mood of it and the imagery, and I could clearly see the characters. It seems like there should be more to it though. Where's the story? It feels like you're setting the scene for a longer story, but then it just ends. Will you write some more for them? I know they have more of a story to tell.

That's what I figured DP, thanks.

And lesbia, I read your stories and liked them fine. Obviously, I don't know what kind of professional writing you've done, but you write well and your style worked fine for the stories, especially in Cashmere where you say they don't talk. If you're open to listening to others here you'll learn a lot.

Bien Sur!

Thanks all for your comments, feedback, suggestions. It does a writer good to hear from other writers!!

Indeed, yes, "Adela" is rather a beginning for a longer story. There is much more to tell, and I plan to revisit that. I guess I put it in here more as a way of testing the waters, so to speak. "Cashmere" is a finished story though.

As to my openness to feedback, critique, I'm very into that. Anyone who wishes to offer me thoughts or suggestions is more than welcome to do so.

For those who asked that I include the link to my stories in my post, here goes:

I sometimes have avs and sigs turned off, if I think the kids are about ;)

That's an excellent point. Just don't let them learn to read and you'll be in good shape! :)

Welcome to the site. Trolls are everybodies favorite rant and rave. We all have them, some who even can actually spell everything correctly and use correct grammar. I figure it's a badge of honor to be trolled.

Bri if you have your sigs off then how can you see when my books are being published. Gamble is coming out in later July, Beastly Intentions in early August. :p

I've sent you a private message. :)

Welcome to the Club :)

Trolls and whack jobs abound LOL...
However, the sincere appreciation offered by everyone else more than makes up for the small minded, mean spirited, scrum that comes from, as another said it so eloquently, annonymouth.
MY computer at home is broken ! I just got it too! So Unfortunately I cannot read your stories for a few days. I am looking forward to it!
So, enjoy and be welcome!

Ciao
