New way of story stealing... or is it?

Just for fun I tried pasting the first sentence of a few of my stories into google with quotation mark. Not surprising google found most of them published elsewhere, usually on dodgy sites with broken links. But one was pretty weird. Someone has taken a four lit page story of mine and pasted it as a series of forum posts here: http://www.xossip.com/showthread.php?t=1151691&page=68

Mine starts at the bottom of that page. The guy has included the title (Testing the limits), and the description that I gave on literotica. He has a disclaimer at the bottom saying he doesn't write the stories but no reference to where he found it. Couldn't he at least have done that?

The thread is 79 forum pages of what seems to be mostly him posting stories, and it is still being updated. My educated guess is that all the stories are stolen from Literotica, so you may very well find yours there if you've written in LW.

Following your link gets some unpleasant pop-ups (blocked by my anti-virus program).

I just tried the OPs method of copying the first line of a story and googling it. It only took a few tries and I found one that was stolen. Sucks. And it isn't even an "H" story LOL.

Some of mine with ratings of 3.xx have been stolen too. Even some of my essays turn up in odd places (usually malware infested).

I've seen sites like that before -- like years ago. The method isn't new and I doubt the site gets many visitors.

Thankfully, no one reads my stories.

...Except the NSA and someone who goes to 4Chan (which isn't me 'coz I've never been there).

You people are just now figuring this out? This is how most of us have been tracking down our stories for over a decade.

The first line doesn't necessarily always work since that's the easiest and most likely to be altered. Select lines or phrases that are very unique to the story and that aren't likely to show up in another context.
