Here is the latest virus alert that I saw both on the news and got a warning from my ISP regarding it, also. Here are excerpts from the email...

To our valued customers,
This morning (8/12/2003) we have received a lot of calls regarding the W32.Blaster.Worm that shuts down Windows 2000/XP machines automatically. Unfortunately, it is beyond the scope of our normal technical support to fix it over the phone.
If you feel that you can patch and remove the worm yourself, a free download from http://www.windowsupdate.com is available. You will also need to download the virus removal tool from http://securityresponse.symantec.com/avcenter/venc/data/w32.blaster.worm.html.

To give a little bit more information regarding the worm; detailed information can be downloaded from Microsoft at http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=823980 regarding diagnostics, removal, etc. This worm only infects Windows 2000/XP/NT and NOT Windows 95/98/ME through just being connected to the Internet and not email.

Just trying to help people and keep them informed, sexyone...sorry! :(

That's the worm I had. Spent an hour trying to get thru to Microsoft, but kept getting a busy signal. Then spent 2 1/2 hours on the phone get my PC cleaned up and installing the patch. Never want to go thru that again!:(

(Hi New Jersey!)

I hope y'all know that penguins eat worms. :D
(That's a Linux joke. Sorry, I'll run along now.)
(Well, not before I pinch Sueanninct's butt :D )

Well, I don't have to worry about this one. ME is so unstable that even the worms don't bother with it. lol.
