So, I am new to this whole online community/forums and chatting with people from all walks of life. I would like to make at least a decent first impression... So I have a chance to meet some decent people. My question is for everyone, what does everyone think about everyone else? How do you choose who you wanna know more about?
Thanks ,

Be still, my heart! Just the fact that you asked, I think I like you already. ;)

I lurk among the various boards, but consider "How To" home. This is a pretty good post on how to fit in with the HT culture and I daresay it's pretty good advice that would translate well to the other boards with the exception of the General Board. It's generally a free for all over there and people say whatever the hell they feel like, just to see what sort of reaction they can get. Best to have pretty thick skin if you venture over there. The arrival of "virgin meat" (as it were) is like chumming shark infested waters.

If you have some time, I'd advise you to read through the FAQ's and The Blank Manual (both sticked at the top of this forum). There is lots of good information there. Welcome to Lit and may you enjoy your stay.

ETA: You should also read this excellent HT piece regarding PM etiquette.

I strongly suggest you just start reading and posting. Let people get to know you and you get to know them and go from there, just like you would in real life.

i'm new here too. i post at a few other forums, but i always find it intimidating to get started. i agree with the others, though, just read as much as you want before posting anything. no pressure. i'd add that it's best to be polite, as you would if you were at a new job, or at a party where you don't know many people. i've seen new posters enter forums very aggressively, and they never last.

Thank you for the 1up on what to/not do in the link!

If you're here to get laid, go to Lit Chat, that's where the wild ones are.

Some are good and some are bad but all are horny and that's what matters.

I've realized that your probably right! As we all should know by now that
Anybody can look at ALL the post that you have made and when you look at them
they contradict themselves ! You say something in a post that you feel strongly about,
then turn around and tell somebody something totally different....... Makes me laugh!

Are you referring to something specific or just in general?

Welcome from another newbie :) Just act like you would in real life, talk to others, respect their opinions, and offer yours if you think it will add to a given topic. :rose:

Welcome to Lit! I have made some friends here over the past few years, everyone of them through reading their posts in threads or them reading mine and finding something to like about one another. Random PMs almost never result in anything meaningful, but there are many who choose to send those out as well.

To me, the How To and BDSM forums are the right places for me to read and contribute, although I'm more of a bystander in the latter. The regulars in these forums are kind, patient, and genuine. I tend to run away from the General Board with my tail between my legs, but if you're looking to argue about something, anything, that may be a place to look. ;)

There's a wealth of experience and information here. Read through the threads and you'll find yourself wanting to chime in. Then you'll be hooked, too... :)

I have to tell you that I LOVE your name here, JtohisPB. I do have a serious question tho - creamy or crunchy? :)

I have this advice: Don't put up a cock Av, don't sniff after everything with a pulse and don't be a douche. Welcome to Lit.

I have this advice: Don't put up a cock Av,

*nods*

Please, no avs featuring genitalia. *shudders*

I don't mean to be crass, but if a cock shot is all a guy thinks is necessary for an interesting av, what does that REALLY say about him?

OTOH, cock avs can be useful for knowing who isn't worth associating with. :)

Anyone who judges who is worth associating with solely on the size or appearances of a man's cock is going to miss out on a lot of really nice guys.

I don't think the judgment is based on the cock, it's based on the type of guy who would post his cock as his Avatar for everyone to see, whether they want to or not.

Though, If I'm wrong, Eilan, please correct me...

Obviously I'm not Eilan, but that pretty much hits it on the head. If someone (man or woman) thinks that the best or most important representation of themselves to use as an av is their genitals, I'm not very inclined to get to know them.
